First time opening Lattice?
There is no setup — no account, no login, no permissions to grant. Just open the app and start moving.
-
1
Open Lattice. You'll land in Tables mode by default — the top half locked to a number, the bottom half ready to scroll.
-
2
Drag vertically on either half. The number rolls. The colour shifts. The equation on the central seam updates.
-
3
Tap the mode pill at the top to switch between Tables, Explore, and Quiz.
-
4
Open Settings (gear icon) to try a different theme, toggle sound or haptics, or view your stats.
The first time you swipe, a hint pill appears at the bottom. It disappears once you've moved both halves — you only see it on the very first run.
Three ways to practice
🎯 Tables
Lock one factor on the top half, scroll the other. Best when you're drilling a single times table end-to-end. The locked number gives you a stable reference; the scrolling number cycles through 1 to your current ceiling.
🌀 Explore
Drag both halves freely. No goal, no timer — just colour, motion, and the equation updating in real time. The best mode for a child to discover patterns at their own pace.
⏱ Quiz
A timed challenge. You start with three lives and a ticking clock. Pick the correct answer from four options. Correct picks earn bonus seconds and grow your streak. Wrong picks cost a life. The run ends when either time or lives run out — and your best score is saved.
The Quiz timer only starts on your first answer — take as long as you like to look at the first question.
8 themes — 5 free, 3 Pro
Every theme re-tints the entire app instantly. Tap a theme swatch in Settings to preview, tap again to apply.
Free themes
Bold — vivid block colours, the default and signature look. Muted — dusty, earthy tones. Ink — pure monochrome. Jewel — deep gemstones. Sorbet — soft pastels.
Pro themes (metallic)
Gold — warm brushed metal. Steel — cool platinum. Copper — terracotta with a sheen. Each uses a three-stop gradient on every numeral, giving the digits a brushed-metal reflection that subtly shifts as you scroll.
Lattice Pro
Pro is a single one-time purchase — $6.99 USD (or the local equivalent). There is no subscription. Purchase once and it's yours on every Apple device signed in to the same Apple ID.
What Pro unlocks
All times tables up to 20 (and beyond, to 99). The three metallic themes (Gold, Steel, Copper). Family Sharing for up to six members.
Open Lattice → tap the upgrade prompt to open the paywall → tap Restore Purchases at the bottom. As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, Pro will unlock within a few seconds.
Yes. Lattice Pro is configured as a Family-Sharable purchase. When you buy it, every member of your Apple Family Sharing group can unlock Pro on their own device. They tap Restore Purchases in Settings and it activates.
Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. If that doesn't fix it within a minute, check that you're signed in with the Apple ID that made the purchase (iPhone Settings → [Your Name]). If you're still stuck, email us with the date and country of purchase and we'll sort it out.
Apple handles all refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund for Lattice Pro. We are not able to issue refunds directly — but we can help Apple understand the issue if you let us know.
Common issues
Lattice is designed for iOS 17 and newer. On older devices or after a long session, try force-quitting (swipe up and away) and reopening. If the issue persists, please email us with your device model.
Check Settings → Sounds & Haptics on your iPhone — make sure "System Haptics" is on. Then open Lattice → Settings → Haptics and confirm it's enabled there too. Haptics require a device with a Taptic Engine (iPhone 7 and newer).
The streak is based on calendar days in your device's local timezone. If you change timezones, the boundary can shift. The streak is also reset if the app's data is cleared — for example, after deleting and reinstalling.
Progress is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app or moving to a new device without restoring from an iCloud backup will reset it. To preserve progress across devices, make sure iCloud Backup is enabled in your iPhone settings — that captures app data along with everything else.
Yes. The app is fully offline. The only network requests are made when you tap Restore Purchases — that contacts Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat to verify your Pro entitlement.
